What we collect, and why.
We collect the minimum we need to run MyVanga safely. That's it. Specifically:
Phone number — to log you in securely and recover your account if you lose your device.
Username — so other contributors can recognise you and you can be credited for your activity.
Device identifier — to prevent the same person from gaming the system with multiple accounts.
Contribution activity — your check-ins, streaks, referrals, votes. This is what powers your $MYVA balance.
Optional KYC data — only if you choose to verify for enhanced mining boosts. You can opt out.
What we do not collect.
We do not collect your location unless you grant permission for a specific feature.
We do not collect your contacts unless you actively import them for referrals.
We do not collect biometric data.
We do not collect data from third-party advertising trackers — because we don't use any.
What we will never do.
We will never sell your data. Not to advertisers. Not to data brokers. Not to anyone.
We will never run third-party advertising trackers inside the app.
We will never share your identity with anyone unless legally compelled (and we will fight unreasonable requests).
We will never ask for your password in any communication.
How we protect it.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to a small set of authorised engineers, all of whom log every access for audit. We undergo annual security reviews and welcome security researchers to report vulnerabilities to security@myvanga.com.
Your rights.
You have the right to:
Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you.
Correct — fix anything inaccurate.
Delete — permanently remove your account and data from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing support@myvanga.com.
Export — receive your data in a portable format.
Object — refuse specific data uses (where this doesn't break core functionality).
We process requests within 30 days. Deletion is irreversible — your contribution history is permanently erased.
Cookies and similar.
The MyVanga website uses essential cookies only — for session management and security. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or social tracking cookies. If we ever add optional analytics, we'll show you a clear consent prompt and you can decline freely.
Children.
MyVanga is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has signed up, please contact support@myvanga.com and we will remove the account.
Changes to this policy.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. We will never reduce your rights without giving you the option to delete your account first.
